Vikings Untouchable & Unforgetable Chicago(land) tours 2009 - 2011 - 2012...

We´re heading out again, for some more great adventures in Vineland.

As our forfathers in the 11:th. century... we can´t resist the challenge of knowing, it´s action time out west... far west...

Roaring engines, the smell of racefuel & burnt rubber, meeting racingenthusiasts from all around the states/world... we´ve just got to go...

Our SAS skyship docked at Arn, is made ready for the longhaul north Atlantic voyage in front of us.

It´s time to visit our friends again, at the Chase Race Famous Battle Arena in Joliet... The City of Steel & Stone & Speed...

From the heart of Chicago, you´ll find the startingpoint of world famous Route 66. It takes you to the Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway

on it´s long way to Santa Monica Beach in California...

Way back... another SAS Viking skyship, was the first skyship ever, to connect Europe with the US west coast on a nonstop longhaul.

On Route 66 Raceway, Top Fuel Dragsters duell time to time & and women fight hard against eachother in the "mudded" arena.

This racing facility, is certainly a Non Speed Limit Zone/Area... and we LOVE IT...

Guys, like Big Al and J. Dillinger among plenty of other pretty faces, made Chicago world famous from the prohibitation era.

What was then prohibited... is now served legally all over town in restaurants & bars of your choosing.

Chicago is mighty BIG, beatiful and great fun. Cultural sites & Buildings, Theatres, Music Halls, Art Museums, Amusement Parks and Waterchannels

certainly provides everything you ever could ask for, whether you are single, a pair or a family. And a weekend on the Chicagoland Speedway is not only

recommended - It´s Mandatory...

Our Trans-Atlantic SAS mothership is docked at O´Hare, and we are continuing on one of Albert Borgstroms vessels. His Wendella sightseeing boats, has been steaming up & down the Chicago channels, under the Swedish flagg since 1935. At the downtown Marina City, it´s time to go a shore for the Contenders Live meeting.

At the Chicago House of Blues... on a special event, NASCAR´s Mike Helton, gathered those who qualified for the "Dirty Doozen" .These "braves", will fight in 10 different arenas to come. CHASE rules are simple... Last man/woman standing at Homestead/Miami Speedway, is the winner... that´s true & approved Viking style rules...

It´s the 2:nd time the Chase start´s here at Chicagoland Speedway... and to reveal a secret, the driver who won the Geico 400, also won the Sprint Cup trophy

at Homestead/Miami Speedway/Motor Complex. So... who wouldn´t wanna win at Chicago in 2013 ?

On our 2011 tour, we brought Tore and Lena Sundberg of the CCS to Chicagoland Speedway with full photo and Hot Pass credentials.

In 2012 Staffan and Caroline of the Swedish Consulate on the fancy Michigan Avenue - The Magnificent Mile... got the same "treatment" and followed us for a lifetime experience.

These "newbies" to NASCAR racing, enjoyed Mile after Mile of Magnificent Miles on a WORLD CLASS SPEEDWAY. Among Brad Keselowski and others... they got to meet the president of the track - Scott Paddock in Winners Circle...

There is not enought words, for the hospitallity that we recieved during our 3 separate Atlantic Crossings to Chicagoland Speedway...

Special thanks to the President of the speedway - Scott Paddock, Don McClelland, Rick Lane +++ all of the speedways staff and security.

It was fantastic to meet Rex of the Steffes family on the Chicagoland Speedway premises.

The Steffes family who originates from Germany, came down from Canada in 1850´s to settle here. Rex and his brothers + some sponsors did build the

Route 66 Raceway to start with. In 2006-07 Rex sold his part of the Speedway itself to NASCAR. So everything here is on former Steffes land.

David Harris of the Joliet Police Department took us to another infield... an infield for inmates. We where invited to see the inside of the Old Joliet

Correctional Center. The jail named Fox River Penitentiary in the world famous TV-series Prison Break... If these wall´s could speak...

NASCAR season is over for 2012... but this story has just begun. We are going to digg deep into Chicago(land) with facts & folklore about local Indian tribes, the roaring early 1900´s and the 1.5 Mile Magnificent Speedway itself.
